The Africanus Kenyannae

When agriculture came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When writing came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When government came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When democracy came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When religion came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When art and reason came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When guns came to Europe, Europe changed forever.

When printing came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When devastating disease came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When machines came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When banking and insurance came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When wide scale war came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When computers came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When the internet came to Europe, Europe changed forever. When social media came to Europe, Europe changed forever.

It is simple. Whenever there is a challenge there is always change. Whenever there is a revolutionary discovery, there will be revolution. Look around the world. The same applies to each society except to the Africanus. Evolution takes time but change is instantaneous once a given stimuli or shock presents itself. So why is the Africanus so behind? Is the Africanus still evolving? Why is the Africanus preoccupied with irrelevant issues? Why does the Africanus blame others for problems of its own making?

Honestly, how can you say that the Africanus and especially the Africanus Kenyannae is not naturally foolish? Ironically, the most idiotic of the Africanus Kenyannae are the ones who will vehemently deny this fact.

We have agriculture, we have writing, we have government, we have religion, we have guns, we have machines, we have computers, we have internet, we have social media and yet, the same issues of disease, ignorance and poverty that we talked about in 1963 are still the same issues we talk about in 2014 with no end in sight. Actually, we have more issues now than then. For example, we now have or we have now expanded problems such as corruption, tribalism, religious conflict, deepening inequality etc.

The world moves forward while the Africanus holds the Africanus back and then blames those moving forward. Excuses, excuses, excuses while our children die, starve and murder each other. Are we the children of Ham? Is this the curse of Ham? Is this why hope for the Africanus seems so dim. If not, then what is it because we are moving at a snail’s pace while the world races forward.
